The 8th school on mathematical physics will take place form the 23th to the 27th of May 2016.

The study of random geometries is of importance in a wide range of physical and mathematical applications, as, for example, in biophysics, material sciences, quantum gravity theory of networks and operator theory. The aim of this school is to introduce some of the most important theoretical tools for the analysis of random geometries ant to discuss in detail two important applications of the theory specifically to physcis: the physics of metamaterials based in graphene and the quantum gravity in two dimensions.

The school is aimed at undergraduate, graduate and PhD students and researchers interested in the topic.

The school will consist of a series of morning lectures given by the invited speakers. The participants will have the possibility to give talks or present posters in the afternoon sessions. We are also studying the possibility to have problem sessions in the afternoons organized by Suraj Shankar. The morning lectures will be held in English, afternoon lectures can be held in English or Spanish.
