Linear operators appear in many areas of mathematics and mathematical physics. Knowledge of their spectra is fundamental to deduce properties of the problems that they are modelling.

The aim of this school is to introduce the participants to some aspects of the theory of linear operators and their spectra. In the mini courses taught by the main lecturers, this is achieved by studying various PDEs as examples.

The school will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of June of 2025 on the campus of the University of the Andes.

The school is aimed at undergraduate, graduate and PhD students and researchers interested in the topic. Attendees are expected to have basic knowledge of functional analysis.

The school will consist of a series of morning lectures given by the main speakers. The participants will have the possibility to give talks or present posters in the afternoon sessions. We are also studying the possibility to have problem sessions in the afternoons. The morning lectures will be delivered in English, afternoon lectures can be held in English or Spanish.
